Erase old machine to donate
I came on to ask about an erasing disk for emachine T2928 with XP to donate - am now using emachine T5230 with Vista. Wanted ask about Drive Scrubber/Win Cleaner One Click/Drive Erase Pro as I read on the boxes that they can clean up the machine I am now using. Fear that inserting the CD might erase more than I want - I'd just want useless stuff removed. Was delayed in asking about that by seeing DOWNLOAD the FREE Registry Booster 2 to "Clean, repair and optimize" my system (and that recommendation is on every page I view). Is it recommended by Techguy.org? I have on my machine an ad from Advanced Registry Optimizer which will fix me by removing over 200 things. What should I do now?

You need to erase everything from the drive to get all your personal information off from it. That includes the operating system.

Darik's Boot and Nuke
Eraser
Terabyte CopyWipe (copy or wipe a drive)
Active@ Killdisk (Free version makes only one pass)
No File Recovery

The, reinstall the OS.

Hi,
You ask about Reg Booster 2. An advert here at TSG does not mean a recomendation, it's just a way of raising $$ to run TSG. This earlier thread will interest you:
