windows xp admin help
I am using a windows xp computer which was given to me by a friend. There is an administrator account that is restricting me from downloading anything including security programs, flash, etc. I get an error message that says ''unable to download file to destination'' or ''you are restricted from performing this action. please contact computer administrator'' I went into user accounts and there's only one account and three options... create password, change picture, and change .net passport. and in the right hand corner it has the name and under it says ''limited account.'' How can I either get into the user settings to change the restrictions? or how can I find the administrator account? I think I can find the password, but finding the administrator account itself has been impossible.

Why not contact your friend who gave you the computer?

Like 1002richards says, contact your friend.....it is against rules of TSG to help people with passwords.
