Angry post virus problem
ok heres how it goes,
I think that yesterday i was infected with the zlob trojan, my symptoms were pop-ups everywhere , virus alert next to my clock, start menu was cleared apart from being able to select firefox and program defaults, my computer had dissapeared and when i found it through folder searching only my hard drives had dissapeared along with it. fortunately after using smitfraudfix and sdfix the virus went. task manager etc can now be used but still my computer shows now hard drives, some icons on the desktop are still missing and the start menu is still clear but now have the ability to click programs. run has also gone from the start menu.

any assistance would be appreciated

Hello, Delica88. I believe this is in the wrong section, but it allows me to post and help you, if I'm allowed. :-)

First, please download and install Trend Micro's HijackThis.
HijackThis allows you to scan all your current running processes and information, please do not use the "Fix Checked" utility yet as it is not a reliable program to do so.
Run a scan and then click "Save Log", after doing so, paste the contents of the log into a reply to this thread.

Thankyou,
-Ryoushi.

Okay, not a problem.

Congratulations on removing it, remember to stay secure this time! :-)
There's a whole list of firewall and anti-virus protection in this category, you might want to get some protection.

If the problem is fully solved, please mark this thread (in the top right) as "Solved".
