Question How do I make my computer secure
I have

1. Windows Vista Firewall - Is this OK
2. Windows Defender - Is this OK
3. AVG Free 8.00 anti virus - I was recommended to this by the person who installed the computer - Is this OK.

Do I need anti spyware/anti malware as I think AVG Free 8.0 has these built in . If I need an additional one which is the best free one.

Should I be concerned about tracking cookies and if so what should I do about them.

Do I need any other security systems in case I start to do online Banking .

I already do a little on line shopping

Keith66:

Vista's built-in firewall, Windows Defender 1.1, and Grisoft AVG 8.0.138 are the ones that I use in my Vista computer.

If you're concerned about leaving behind tracking cookies, temporary internet files, passwords, etc. after you finish your browsing session, select the option to delete everything before you close Internet Explorer.
