Question Privacy of Documents and Windows Mail
I have a password on my user account and I am the only administrator but I share my computer with other family members.

In case my user account is ever left open and someone else logs on is there any way I can keep (a) my files and folders private (as some contain Inland Revenue information ) (b) keep my E.mails in Windows Mail private.

I am on Vista Home Premium.

the best way is to set the screen saver to turn on and lock the screen after 10 mins on no activity.

Another way is to have encrypted folders with Truecrypt. This will mean that you have to provide a password or keyfile or both to access the encrypted folder. But if you have that folder unlocked and walked away then you still open to somebody else snooping.

Thanks Lunarlander.
Getting Screensaver to lock after inactivity helps greatly.
Will take a look at truecrypt.
I need something user friendly but effective as I am a beginner - Is truecrypt easy to operate

I find Truecrypt pretty intuitive. But its been a while since I used it so I can't give you walkthrough.
