Slow Avira's start updating
I installed, by the moment, first, free Avira that functioned pretty well; until I installed new Sybot. Both applicactions do very well, but, after Spybot installation, the PC's complete start is different. Small Avira's umbrella remains closed by a relatively long while until Spybot's Tea Time shield gets installed; only then Avira starts updating and any intent to operate the PC before, means troubles as, for example, no Avira updating or even opening. Could it be improved in any manner ? Many thanks and regards

Hi Spybot's Tea Time can be problematic as it is scanning for any changes in the registry etc.
Id disable Tea Timer and see if that helps.

Hi I have stopped using Spybot but when the program is open, you can change the settings back from the Advance setting top left hand corner to ....that's the bit I cannot remember.

Did turning off Tea Timer solve your original problem?

I havn't have the time until now. I will listen some music during morning and afternoon I will go to the PC (free day, remember I am 71, am am existencial therapist). I see several antimalawares there in your messages. I had the Ad Aware and Spywareblaster, and I replaced them by the Spybot. This last behaved very well indeed fixing practically every trouble I had. But, as I am really obsessive, I would wish to get the very best that could perform, almost alone, essential functions. I am happy with Avira, I will buy the definitive soon (it looks nicely light for my old PC), Currently I have CCleaner (never has done anything wrong) and Spybot. Many thanks and friendly greetings and regards.

Hi be careful when using Ccleaner registry scan and cleaner.
Registry cleaners can and often do cause more problems than they solve.

In CCleaner I just stop after the cookies deleting section. I never run the registru function. Well, what do you think about antimalwares? Does Sypbot deserve to be replaced by other ones? Many thanks

It's Avira "guilt"
Well, I think that nothing changed with the Spybot Tea Time's shield removal; then I restored it. Actually Avira not specially 'updates' slowly, but it's starting is tedious: I mean that the nice umbrella remains closed for a relatively long while not being clear what does it mean. It behaves the same without the Tea Time shield. Nothing really important but tedious. I am tempted to move towards one of the cleaners you mention. Is it worth to do? Thanks
