pb updating my PC
Hi,

My PC was not connceted to internet for more than 6months. so all my applications were out of date. now Iam trying to update ceratin applications and this is the following problems that i encounter
First, I am trying to install Zone alarm in my computer and i can't install it.
Second, i am trying to update my adaware and it is not getting updated.
Third, when i click on the link in adaware to go to the website. my navigateur is not going to adawre website. instead it is opening a new window with google.

SO basically these are the problems that i encounter. I would really appreciate if some one can help me fix all these issues and also help me in protecting my computer in a better way in the future.

Take each of the programmes and uninstall them using "Add/Remove" in Windows. Both Zone Alarm and Ad Aware have launched new versions that would be the same as a reinstall. Once uninstalled - reboot your machine and download latest versions.

when i am trying to install zonealarm i get this notification that i have to close the application true vector and then restart installation. but i don't know where to go and find this application.

secondly could you please help me improve my RAM, cause my PC closes automatically due to iinsufficient memory. could that be due to hacking or virus??

Thanks in advance.

I googled and it seems true vector is a part of Zonealarm. So I think it is asking you to shutdown the old zonealarm first before installing the new one.

Did you uninstall old programmes? The new Zone Alarm requires a completely new installation. Remove old Zone Alarm from PC - or if not possible shut Zone Alarm down and then install new programme.
