Solved: Strange icon appearing in task bar, security breach?
Hopefully someone recognizes this icon...It appeared earlier today and I'm worried it's spyware or something along those lines. It doesn't open, doesn't have a description and just appeared out of nowhere. If you do recognize this let me know (even if it's not spyware).

Well here's trying to attach the jpg...

Hi is this Vista you are using?
Did it appear at startup?
Does right clicking on it reveal anything?
What Anti-virus and Spyware programs are you using?

Hey, Yeah it's Vista 32-bit. Yep it's appeared right from startup the past 2 times I've logged on. Right clicking reveals nothing except 'Close' but I haven't tried that yet since I'm trying to find out what it is and where it came from. Antivirus is AVG 8.0 Free and antispyware etc. is just plain ole' Windows Defender.

Check msconfig and let us know what is listed in startup tab.

Hmm, It could possibly belong to a game app. 'Firaxis'. Actually I'm almost certain that's what it is!

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. You've put my mind at ease! Sorry for wasting your time thinking it was something it's not! x
