Solved: windows firewall
Ok i am wondering if this is a firewall problem or not..if its not i am very sorry and can someone move this thread to the appropriate place.

I have been trying to install msn messenger. i can't it keeps saying there was a problem. from everything I read it sounds like the firewall is blocking it. I do know how to allow exceptions. or i think i do lol .. I can't allow windows live as an exception when it wont install i have msn messenger as an exception but not the windows live messenger.. any one know how i can do this when i cant install it to be able to add it as an exception?

Thanks in advance.

I can't understand your post. What are you trying to install - MSN Messenger or Live Messenger?

You also said you have an exception for MSN Messenger, so does that mean you have MSN Messenger already installed? Yet you say you are trying to install MSN Messenger also?

sorry let me clarify. the computer has the basic messenger installed that gets installed with IE. I am trying to install Windows Live Messenger. The exception is for the basic messenger. I am trying to get my computer to allow me to download the Windows Live Messenger.

Sorry for any confusion
