Question Solved: AVG free problems
I am new to this forum, so bear with me. I have been using AVG successfully for years & updating when available.
I regularly have problems with a pop up box, from AVG, saying -' invalid update control CTF file.'

Sometimes this prevents my daily updates, other times it doesn't.

can you tell me what this message means? Should I do something...or ignore it??

many thanks

Thumbs up Well....I've taken Aidie's advice!
I was redirected to the AVG free forum - thank you!

Just delete everything with .ctf extension in folder
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\avg8\update\download
Then run update as usual and all sorted!

So that is what I have done!

Cheers!
