gotta bug, Please help

just got a worm on my other computer, not sure what I stepped in to get it. this computer is running XP, what is the best way to get rid of this thing and how do I know that is it all gone ?

What antivirus software do you guys use and what do you think is the best anti-virus and anti-spyware?
