Question Solved: Does anyone use Spyware Guard anymore
I noticed that one of the Moderators recommended Spyware Guard in an older thread. I then looked up a review for this product on Google and found that there hadn't been an update of it since 2004. Is there a newer version of Spyware Guard or should it be considered obsolete?

Thanks for the information, Kitch. Maybe I should have asked if anyone here uses it.

Not sure if Spyware Blaster can replace Spyware Guard.
Remember they are both from javacoolsoftware so if Spyware Blaster can do what Spyware Guard does then why would they still have Spyware Guard?

Thanks for the responses, Hewee and Golferbob. I have WinPatrol myself. I still use WINME and I have SuperAntiSpyWare as my main anti spyware program. I have been considering using Spyware Blaster (not Spyware Guard) as a backup.

I used to run 98se on another system, mainly to check out new registry cleaners and to see how soon they would bring the system to a standstill.
[ get a life I hear you saying]
On there was SpywareBlaster, SpywareGuard and Winpatrol.
It was only SpywareGuard that would alert me of a Homepage change.
Usually when d/loading a new, different Firewall etc.

But on my Xp there is only SpywareBlaster and Winpatrol.
Not sure if this help or adds to the confusion.

It does help, Blues Harp. Its getting hard to find compatible programs for WINME because of its age. I'm glad that you had good results with SpywareGuard. But I just don't feel comfortable using something that hasn't been updated in four years.
