Easy Cleaner and Super Anti Spyware?
Maybe about a year ago, Tech Support Guy solved my trojan horse problem in about two days. At that time, it was recommended that I use Easy Cleaner (and Super Anti Spyware) to clear up my problem. I've been using them ever since. I was wondering if TSG still recommends these free programs. SAS continues to update their definitions, but I've never been able to update Easy Cleaner. Should I delete it?

Thanks...and TSG ROCKS!

Easy Cleaneer:

It's a combination type program, freeware, I and lots of others do use it or some similar file cleanup tools....we do NOT however reccommend the part of these tools that deals with Registry entries....they can be a little too harsh, and will remove some things that are actually needed. Not for every computer, and certainly not every time, but through a long time of experience with these tools we just do not reccommend inexperienced users use the Registry cleaner type features of ANY free or Pay-for program....they can cause you a very large amount of trouble!

The temp file cleaning features of Easy Cleaner are very nice....along with some other features, and I do reccommend you use those parts.

The program does not "Update" like for example, SpyBot....or your antivirus program....they come out with newer versions from time to time, but not too often.

Superantispyware: Yes, quite a few of the malware helpers here and at most other forums are still using this program a lot, and I like it, along with MalwareBytes Antimalware program, also many other tools we depend on to help remove or protect against malware.

I use both of them and i am happy with them esp the easy cleaner which I am using since one year! Easy Cleaner never gave me any problems with my registry deletion.
