Solved: Email problems with NIS 2003 - help
I have Nortons Internet Security 2003 with XP Pro and SP2.

Everything works ok using this, except when emailing.

Although I've turned the 'Scan outgoing Emails' off, It still checks them and slows the sending of the mails.

What can I do to stop Nortons scanning the out-going emails.??

Thanks

I have carried out a Updater from Nortons, carried out a full scan to check for any malware etc. Removed NIS using Nortons removal tool. Rebooted and Re-installed NIS2003 and its exactly the same although the 'Scan outgoing mail' is turned off.

Is there an entry in the registry, where a value could be adjusted to sort this out. ??

thanks

Apparently this is a common fault with NAV2003, reading from Symantec's website.

But they suposingly have a patch for this software fault when you do your updates.

Yet mine are are fully up todate, yet the fault is still there.

I cannot find any link to Symantec for any help unless you pay em, Bucks.

Any ideas ??

Everything now sorted, by Installing ZoneAlarm instead.
