Question Having security problem with windows server 2008
Hi
I am having a security issue with windows server 2008. I assign some users security permission(full control) to access a specify folder on the file server. After some time i add a new user to the permission list but he was denied to access the subfolders, so i gave him the permision for subfolders individually. but most of the xls and doc files are denied, there are to many files what should i do here. do i have to give the permission for each file individually or any other solution. i tried the inhertant check box many time different ways but no use.

Try this,

Create a group containing you and the target user. Then assign that group as the "Owner" of the folder
