Exclamation Trojan Vondu
I have windows xp home sp3, oh my gosh, I don't even want to say this but my husband or my son one downloaded and opended a penthouse magazine from a file sharing site and now I have the vondu virus. Please can you help me remove it? Norton cant get it off.

this is what norton tells me-

Trojan.Vundo

[is159855.exe]inside of[c:\documents and settings\jannie\my documents\penthouse.magazine.october.2008.pdf.ebook-intensity.exe]

Try deleting it in safe mode. Reboot, after the memory counting screen, press F8 to get to Safe Mode.

I did a Google search for Trojan.Vundo and most of the sites note that it is difficult to remove. They all require a download of one or more programs to remove all traces of the trojan. However, I don't know how current these articles are, so I would be cautious about proceeding with them.

SUPERAntiSpyware says that it can remove the trojan without any download. This is a well respected program and it is recommended by many users. Read about it and download it from

Yes supersantispyware is a good choice to remove vundo infections
I am already been infected with vundo and has removed it with superantispyware
