Smile OneCare Scan Slows Down
Every time I run the protection analysis which is one of the options included in Windows Live OneCare Safety Scanner, the progress bar fills rather quickly up to 52% but then the analysis starts scanning
c:\windows\installer\...\(msi stream...)
and that's when it starts taking ages to move on; it's still scanning those folders as I'm typing this. Why is it taking so long to analyse such folders?
The path displayed in the OneCare Protection Analysis window shows a number after c:\windows\installer\, e.g. \windows\installer\32... which increases as the scan progresses but I don't see any numbered subfolders of the Installer folder.
I've read this thread but I don't know if that could solve the problem and in any case I don't know how to launch msizapu.exe from the command line with the G switch, is it something like msizapu.exe\G?
