Hi iam a complete novice at computer stuff so have come here for help. Iam running windows xp pro. Recently i have noticed that my windows firewall and windows security have stopped working I also cannot install windows updates. The error number i get when i try to install the updates for windows is 0*8007043b. I had someone take a look at it and i was told i will have to use the recovery console( i have a disc). However iam hoping that i can solve this problem without doing that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
