Well last night I got some virus that keeps advertising AntiVirus programs (I don't know where I got it though), which I already know are more things to screw with my computer. I can't seem to delete the virus, and it won't let me open the Task Manager or anything I need to get rid of it. I should also mention (It hasn't infected my mom's computer account much yet though), that there's something that says "VIRUS ALERT!". I'm using Process Explorer to kill the virus's process, but there's no processes that are virus infected. The only process I can't seem to find info on is "dudurwfa.exe". I looked everywhere and these popup's don't dissapear, and on startup, it shows a window that says to do an immediate scan with a virus scanner that is a virus already. My friend claims that the virus got its way into the system32 folder, although AVG says otherwise. Every time I restart, these new icons appear, which look like AntiVirus software, but I know its the exact opposite.


Does anyone know how to get rid of this virus? I looked around and I apparently have the Zlob-Media Codec infection. I did everything every tutorial I found said, but nothing works.


Should I borrow my friend's Flash Drive and just put everything onto that and do a system restore?

Click here to download HJTInstall.exe

• Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop.
• Doubleclick on the HJTInstall.exe icon on your desktop.
• By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
• Click on Install.
• It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
• Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
• Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
• Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
• Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
• DO NOT have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.

**Note: In the event you already have Combofix, this is a new version that I need you to download. It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop**

1. Close any open browsers.

2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

• Very Important! Temporarily disable your anti-virus, script blocking and any anti-malware real-time protection before performing a scan. They can interfere with ComboFix or remove some of its embedded files which may cause "unpredictable results".
