Exclamation 500 intrution attempts in 1 hr
Hello!

I recently became aware of the existance of a virus in my computer. I believe I received it with an infected .scr file. Since then, browser windows are opening at random (15 at a time) and my firewall has been tracking TCP intrution attempts at an alarming rate.

While I do have anti-virus/firewall software on my computer (F-secure by Shaw) it did not find anything when I did a scan. I have run Adaware, Spybot S&D, and Hijackthis to see if anything would turn out. I removed anything that looked suspicious. I then decided to try out avast a/v and it found 2 instances of poison.ivy trojans which have since been removed. Since then the random browser screen popping has diminished but it still happens once in a while and this last hour my firewall alerted me of over 500 blocked TCP connection attempts on my computer.

I am at a loss on what should be my next step. I would prefer to not have to do the old windows re-install but I'm running out of options. Any help I could get would be very much appreciated.

Hi. The bottom half of your log is missing... there should be several more lines after the R1's.

Those trojan must have called home, and the attacker is knocking your firewall looking for the backdoor. Since you are still getting popups, then some part of the malware is still around. Try MalwareBytes: http://www.malwarebytes.org/
