won't install update - Security Update for Microsoft Office XP (KB921596)
Hello,

Recently Microsoft has been trying to update my software with a security update

{Security Update for Microsoft Office XP (KB921596)}

Unfortunately something is going wrong and I am told that Microsoft was unable to update the security update.

At the moment when I switch off my PC, the turn off button is showing the multicoloured shield next to it (meaning it will update before switching off)

I think it is trying to update the same security update as above.

The situation has been like this for maybe a fortnight now.

Please could you help me to sort the situation out.

Many thanks

Regards Richard Milner.

PS, My security software (Kaspersky Internet Security 2009) has been flashing up a message about Key logging… (what ever that is) whenever I click on & open up my media playing program InterVideo WinDVD 5….. Could this have anything to do with the aforementioned Microsoft Security update ?
