computer slows down alot
Hi:
I have a IBM Thinkpad T30 2136-91U with Windows XP Professional with SP2. I've stopped using it takes several minutes to open application (if it doesn't freeze up). Whenever I try to run McAfee or S&D the computer will start the scan but then it will keep going and eventually freeze up (as in a few hours). Can someone help me figure out what the problem is and hopefully fix it?
Thanks

Hi have you run?
Disk Cleanup.
Check Hard Drive for Errors.
Defragment Your Hard Drive.

Try an online scan.

What should I be looking for with the apps you gave links for (superantispyware and the other)?

Spyware and Malware.
No one Spyware program can cover all the threats out there today.
So to use more than one is Ok.
