Kolmic.com Redirection - Maddening frustration
Hi,

My browser homepage is set to an internal intranet site. But when I am out of office, whenever the browser starts it gets redirected to kolmic.com

Now it seems to have gotten worse;

when I try to visit a page like this

http://slate.com/blogs/blogs/trailhe...bama-show.aspx

It sends me to kolmic.com again.

A similar problem is described here with no replies;

http://forums.techguy.org/malware-re...ct-please.html

And please don't send me to my company IT team again please. We're a 10 man company, and our tech team isn't really up to dealing with stuff like this.

Actually speaking, nowhere on the web have I found a solution to this. Although I do find a lot of people complain about this.

Anybody?

Regards,

Robin

XP?

1.- Open CONTROL PANEL
2.- Double click NETWORK CONNECTIONS
3.- highlight "Local Area Connection" Right click and select Properties, a window opens, highlight Internet Protocol, click properties button, another window opens. tick the radio button at the top "Obtain an IP address automatically", click OK, OK
4.- If you are using Wireless, you will need to highlight "Wireless Network Connection" instead of Local Area Connection.

The problem may return, download this software, install, update twice, Perform Full Scan

Use the Free version

Hi MumboDog,

Sorry for not specifying earlier, but this is about my laptop which runs Vista.

It already obtains the IP address automatically.

Am running the program u recommended. Will update after.

Thanks,

Robin
