FIX - Casper 5.0 Backup Fails If Norton 2009 Is Installed
Just posting this as an FYI...

Windows XP and Vista (all versions): When attempting to perform a system backup or restore operation using Casper 5.0 (aka; Casper XP) when Norton AntiVirus 2009 or Norton Internet Security 2009 is installed, the operation may fail and the following error message may be displayed: Casper was unable to complete the copy. An unexpected problem was encountered. Please report this problem for assistance (32).

The error report may cite the following detail: The file \System Volume Information\EfaData\SYMEFA.DB could not be copied.

RESOLUTION (per the developer): "This problem occurs as a result of the design of Symantec’s new Norton Antivirus and Norton Internet Security products; the new design prevents Casper from obtaining exclusive access to the destination. An update to Casper 5.0 has been released to address this issue. You may download and install it from My Account Downloads"

Note: This issue is resolved in Casper 5.0.1402 so the error would pertain to users running any earlier version.
