Safest way to install AVG 8.0 Free
I may upgrade to AVG 8.0 Free. Right now I'm using AVG 7.5 Free and it's ok.

I also use Zone Alarm for my firewall, Ad-Aware, AVG Spyware 7.5, and Spybot S&D 1.6. Other stuff's in my profile or signature at the bottom of this msg, I hope!

So if I do download AVG 8.0, I know I should uninstall 7.5 first, and I will.

But what else should I also do with those other pgms I've listed above, to make sure that nothing goes wrong when I install AVG 8.0?

Should I disconnect entirely from my cable modem, for example? Or disable Zone Alarm? Or disable Spybot S&D 1.6? I've heard it can kluge up installing AVG.

And so on with my concerns...

Thx in advance, from someone who, if he can think about it he can worry about it!

Tom:

When you start to install AVG 8, it will recognize AVG 7.5 and AVG Spyware 7.5 in your computer. It will uninstall AVG Spyware 7.5 first and then will uninstall AVG 7.5 before it installs AVG 8. If you have icons for both on the desktop, you will see both disappear and then be replaced with the AVG 8 icon.
