Recomended second malware scan program
I am currently using F-Secure's Security Suite for firewall, antivirus and antispyware. I have for quite a while now been doing scans with Symantec's online scanner as well. I forget why, but I felt a need to get a second opinion and someone recommended Malwarebytes and SuperANtispyware. Malwarebytes gave me a couple of false positives (targeting my FTP program); superantispyware found nothing.

I am wondering now which is better--Symantec's online malware scan, or Superantispyware. Is there a strong preference for one or the other---based on experience with at least one? I've always liked Norton b/c in the back of my mind, I knew it was pro software so I felt that I could get the benefit from the "professionals" in the field. But now that I'm using F-Secure, I guess I don't feel the need so much any more. So is there any way to compare the two--Symantec and Superantispyware?

I would not run SAS in teh background, but just use it for occasional scans--same of course goes for Symantec.

superantispyware had "come highly recommended" by this site, so I decided to get it. The problem with the freeware version is that it does not supply active scanning. This means that if you do not pay the $15 or $20 for it, then you will have to manually run the scan. I bought the upgrade, use the active scan, and to date I have not had any problem with the program (minus Vista 64 bit not able to realize in the security center that the program is "running").

I have not run the other program so I am unable to give any comparison with it.

FYI, I have gotten rid of Norton. While many enjoy it, I decided to go with Avira (again a lot of good reviews here) and Comodo firewall.
