Angry Laptop hijacked
Hi,
I am warning you that I am not computer literate.

I have a Toshiba Satelite L25 laptop, running XP. For some time, I felt like it was infected.

I have done a "full recovery" with my recovery disc. Seemed to help for a short while, but now it is worse. I think even my recovery disk has been compromised. It has a "ghost" thing on it. So, I called Toshiba and paid $50.00 for another, took it to a computer shop and they ran a full recovery with the new disk. Paid $100.00. Same thing after using it once.

There is a "partition" that loads upon startup, including drivers, sound, etc. pages and pages of stuff. I have an adminstrator password on it, but "it" won't allow me to put a user password in. There are about 30 "users" on it, but I am denied access to all but mine. I don't even have "inherited rights" or whatever.

I am denied access to almost everything, including internet access, and "help".

Prior to my internet access being blocked, I downloaded "Hijack This", (saw it on this website, thank you) but the first time I shut down the computer and restarted it, Hijack This was changed and I was denied access. I bought Trend, and it loaded, but it will not "open". It just flashes a screen, to quick to read, and that's it.

Is my hard drive corrupt? Can my CD be compromised??? Is there anyway to take everything out...just crash it on purpose????...even though I can't uninstall some of the programs....pure magic, sonic, aol, plus many, many more, which I never put on it, and then just reload new software into it????

Help!!!!!Please!!!! Basically, I have a laptop for a paperweight.
