Solved: "Found New Hardware Issue"!
Video Controller (VGA)
Hi,

I recently started to receiving message when I start my computer indicating I need to install Video Controller and VGA. I don't have the CD roms for this so I am not sure what to do.

Also, my computer has started to run slightly slower due to this issue.

My computer is an Acer 5601AWLMi

Any help would be great!

Thanks,

goto this website and put the exact model details in
http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/downloads.html

you should be able to getthe drivers you need

have a look in device manager and see if you have any ?
control panel
system
hardware tab
device manager

does the screen look OK or has that changed at all

Hi,

I've checked Device Manager and the 2 things needed appear in OTHER DEVICE section with question marks next to Video Controller and Video Controller (VGA Compatible).

I've checked the link but am having trouble and installing these drivers. Downloading the file is fine. It is a zip for an has multiple applications in them? Shouldnt they be install as one file rather than multiple files?

you may need to point the device at the unzipped package

so goto device manager
uninstall the devices
then reboot
now when it identifies the new hardware and asks for the driver - point to the driver pack you have unzipped

the font and screen changing, show you are using the drvier rather than VGA
you can change that in
display
settings
