changing user name and password on administrator account

Hi!

I never created an administrator account before I let my son take over my laptop, screw with the administrative accounts so I don't have one, and now I can't download software for my camera.

Now that I've been locked out of administrator accounts, how do I accomplish the installation and further more, how can I get my admin account back and thus regain control over my own machine?

O.K., I figured that might be the case. I suppose I will talk to the manufacturer and see if I can get this cleared up. I am just in a little bit of a hurry is all. Thank you anyway!
