this is not hurting anything but is annoying. where there should be advertisements there is this message
Address Not Found
Firefox can't find the server at ad.doubleclick.net.
the browser could not find the host server for the provided address.
* Did you make a mistake when typing the domain? (e.g. "ww.mozilla.org" instead

Also happens on IE7

The site has most probably been added to your "Restricted site-list"

Check your host-file or Mozilla security-settings.

The hosts file is a text file with no filename extension located in the C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc folder. You can open it using Notepad.

Look for the following entries:
127.0.0.1 ad.doubleclick.net
127.0.0.1 doubleclick.net

If they are there that is the reason for your error message. You can edit the file to remove those lines and then save the file.

Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

127.0.0.1 localhost
i did add easy list thanks
