Exclamation Keylogger or what??
Hey there guys im a bit of a noob when it comes to computers and my dad (BTW im 18 just not moved out yet) has said he has a keylogger on my comp and I overheard him saying it too some1! So i have spybot S&D and AVG free and have scanned them and found no keyloggers! So im sitting here thinking what gives? and I was wondering if theres a way hes hidden it ?? As we use the same wireless router for our internet! so can he just access the history through the router is it a keylogger is it hidden !?? I just dont know!! Also last thing is my dad is very good with comps he used to builf them and just moved from a massive security firm as CPO so I was wondering if theres any ways I could physically get rid of or at VERY LEAST detect this keylogger or anything!! Thanks guys This would mean so much for you too help!

Hi it's your dads house etc and he has the right, to do what he wants to do.
We cannot help you, as that may be against your dads wishes.

Hi,
Could someone clarify please? In this thread Cookiegal implies that TSG will help remove keyloggers.
http://forums.techguy.org/general-se...-snooping.html

Thanks.

Anti spyware solutions like Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta, Spyware Doctor, Ad-Aware SE, SpyHunter, eTrust PestPatrol or Spybot - Search & Destroy are well-known for perfect keylogger detection and removal capabilities. But in some cases even an antivirus or spyware remover can fail to get rid of a particular keylogger.

Many keyloggers are installed by unknown third parties and/or bundled with other malware and then of course we will help to remove them as they can harvest passwords and financial or other sensitive information which could have disastrous results for the poster. When a parent installs a keylogger intentionally to monitor a child or a spouse is spying on the other then we will not get involved in these types of situations.

Some situations are not straightforward and have to be assessed on a case by case basis. I hope this clarifies it for you.

I've edited your post. Please be careful of your language, even if the words are not fully spelled out or in the form of an acronym.
