Is it hacking/or inkwell drying up?
Hi everybody
Know I have posted some odd questions on this site, and this maybe
just one of them?

Have noticed that with my invoices & music, certain files have blue print below them others black, am sure that at one stage everything use to be in black?

Thoughts anybody?

Hi,
Are these ones that you are printing or are they on screen with a colour change? If they are printed ones, have you checked your ink levels in case the colour mix has changed 'cos one has run out?

Richard.

i have various folders, music, pictures, invoices etc.
The names of some of these folders are in black & some in blue.
Thankx

Hi again,
I too have noticed some blue & some back folder names on my XP (Home). Never really spotted it before. No other adverse symptoms though so I'll move over to see what others say.

Sorry I can't help more.

Richard

The blue folder names are the folders that are hidden. Funny when I hide the hidden folders in C:\WINDOWS that seem to be where most are at I still have one folder with the blue text. Folder $NtUninstallKB940157$ and it is emply. Or it says so from a user account. Yea all the folders with blue say empty and I know they are not but they say that in a user account and you can not open them either. Well the $NtUninstall???? ones say empty but IE7 has 22.9 MB with 907 files in it but I can not open it because I don't have rights. If you go to folder options and check "Don't show hidden files and folders" then you should not see them.

Actually, folders with blue names are compressed. They can also be green which denote encrypted.

OK that is why the one blue name I could see when I had it to hide the hidden folders.
I have not seen any green ones.

Hi Hewee
Tried your suggestion of checking folder option,
Don't show hidden folders & files has already been checked/ticked?
See Kitch refers to files being compressed?
can't recall compressing those files/folders and have no greens....
know Mother would not be impressed

You don't compress those files but windows does. Really there is no need to even show the files because you don't need to be in the folder.
But if some file gets added to the windows folder then you may want to have it to show up if you want to check it out.
I think if you ever get something bad on your computer then you want all files and folders to show up so you can find and clean things up.
But no green text files that I can see but I never went looking in every folder so there may be some but who cares. If I start seeing pink ones then I better get myself to the doctors.
