Symantec - Removing from Dell Dimension E521
Greetings,
As my McAfee Antivirus ran out a couple days ago, I uninstalled it. I also
noted that Symantec had a listing as well. I uninstalled the Symantec and then re-started my computer.

The following is what came up upon re-booting:

The file \minint\system32\hddrvr2\nvraid.sys could not be found.
Press any key to continue.

This loops and I cannot get beyond it.

What can I do?

Cheers,
Tomohawks

Tomohawks:

As golferbob has already advised, download and run the Norton and Symantec removal tools. Restart your computer after running each one.

If you haven't already installed a replacement antivirus program, make sure to do it as soon as possible.

Symantec - Removing from Dell
Thanks for your response. Appreciated.

My issue is that I have removed the Symantec Antivirus v10
- I then went to Restart - and now I cant get back to my sign-on page.

This is what comes up on the Blue Screen:

The file \minint\system32\hddrvr2\nvraid.sys could not be found.
Press any key to continue.

Any suggestions?

Tomohawks
