Virus won't go away
I have tried using combofix but it will not even start and will get a pop up which says parasite found and that some files were trying to attach themselves to combofix and combofix would not start.

I tried using avast and it found one virus and I used the option to put it away but after I tried using the trend micro house call and it would not work, and tried a scan using avast which found nothing.

I have tried using trojan remover which was recommended by a friend which did nothing.

Norton and spybot didn't detect anything in the first place.

I don't want to do a fresh install and lose all my files but if it comes down to it I will but would like to ask for any other options or suggestions someone may have.

If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

thank you
