router firewall question
I just got a new laptop computer. Also installed new router so it could be wireless. Everything is running great. The encryption on my router is set to WPA2 and password protected.

My question. Do I need a firewall on my computer. Seems I read or was told that you don't have to have one with a router.

Thanks ahead of time for your help.

Generally you don't, but it won't hurt to have one, because I have a router with NAT, and the router firewall didn't block it, and it was blocked by my software firewall. So because the router has a built-in firewall on it, it usually isn't necessary to have a software firewall, but it usually doesn't hurt to have one.
