Quick question about conflicts between anti-malware programs
Hello,

I have on my computer the following protection programs:
AdWatch, Spybot SD Resident & SpywareBlaster.
My question is: can I have them all running together without creating any conflicts between them?

Thanks,
D.

Its not a good idea to run all of them together.. it may create conflicts. Spyware Blaster is good... you can turn its protection on. Disable the rest, and only use them for on-demand scanning.

AdWatch is a real-time antispyware program so it might conflict with Spybot TeaTimer. You can keep Spybot as a scanner, just make sure TeaTimer is turned off.

SpywareBlaster doesn't conflict with anything because all it does is add "bad" websites to the registry which prevents you from accessing those sites.

The rule of thumb is that you shouldn't have two running that have "real-time" protection. One is sufficient and the others can be used for on-demand scans.

As stated, SpywareBlaster doesn't conflict as it's not actually "running" even though it's protecting your system.

Having two or more running that have "real-time" protection is something you have to look out for not also because more program a all in one suite where they are a Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware, Firewall etc.
You can still use them but you got to know what ones to change the setting on to turn off part or disable parts.
