Unhappy Norton Internet Security 2009 and Spysweeper
I've recently purchased Norton Internet Security 2009 and was wondering if it would have any problems running with Webroot Spysweeper ver. 2.6.1.

After searching for this information, I have found a few posts on the Norton message boards stating that ver. 5 and up will cause the computer to freeze if NIS 2009 is installed on it. Some of these posts also claim that NIS 2009 is good enough at detecting spyware and that having two programs will lead to overlap and future complications; in other words, Spysweeper should be removed.

Since I'm having no luck finding other information on this, I'd like to hear (or read, actually) some opinions or advice before making any changes to my computer.

Thank you,

- Unlucky Pete

Hi having two realtime Spyware programs can cause a conflict, as they are both scanning for possible threats.
And it may leave you less protected not more.
