Download question
System: Dell Diminsion E521 with Windows XP Home Edition.

Is there a Microsoft XP feature or software I can buy/add to my computer that will keep other people (or users with a limited account) from downloading files/programs to my computer? I'm worried about a keylogger program being downloaded onto my computer.

Limited account cannot install software to \Program Files. But they can install software to elsewhere.

Microsoft has a free program called Steady State, which prevents all changes to a computer. It is made for school use or kiosk use. I don't remember if you can make an exception for the admin account. It forbids all changes, and that means even My Documents folder contents are not saved upon reboot.
