Possible Virus?
Hey ya'll. First time poster here. I have had my Dell for about three years now. I have never had any security problems with it at all until a few days ago. I have recently started getting a pop-up in a new browser window about every 4-5 minutes. I ran Ad-Aware, Spybot, and my System Scan. The problem continues. Any ideas/tips?

you could try McAfee's free scan tool. what do you have for anti-virus/anti-spyware programs? going by the symptoms...it would be any of about a million viruses.

I just use the VirusScan that came with my Dell and Windows XP. It's just weird because I have never had a problem before, and I haven't been to any sites, or downloaded anything/added any new programs since the problems.

has it updated its virus definitions recently? it could be a new virus that an old program won't pick up.
