Running Norton 360--can I run McAffee too?
Norton 360 is installed on two XP Dell machines (desktop & laptop), My ISP is offering free McAfee.
Two questions: a) would these two conflict? b) Would such a set up offer greater security? c) Is there a better option? (Ok, that's three questions).
Thanks,
TC

Having two anti-virus programs running at the same time can cause your computer to run very slow, become unstable and even, in rare cases, crash. Yes, they conflict, runing more than one anti-virus programs...

ok technically you can and most likely wont have problems. i have had three on access enabled antivirus programs running with nothing negative. but those programs both are terrible and a watse of money. get comodo firewall-free and rated best by many pc magazines. and get avast antivirus, the majority of sites rate it best.

ok, i dont recommend he "buys" new oones. i currently have comodo CIS( antivirus- i use for only on demand, on acess scanning is disabled), avast home( all on access scanning and blocking enabled), mcafee full suite( everything disable-i hate it and i am waiting for the subscription to end in febuary). all these paid like norton and mcafee are blat ware that dont even work too well. all the products i use are free and seem to work better.
