operation has been canceled due to restrictions on your computer...
In Outlook'07 I get this error whenever I try to open a link:
"Operation has been canceled due to restrictions on your computer. Please contact your administrator". Also, at the exact time this errer began I was unable to open firefox browser windows. They hang the system & use 100% of resources, even after new bootup w/o clicking on firefox. Uninstalled/reinstalled firefox w/no luck. I can use explorer (v7) but still getting outlook error when opening hyperlinks. Virus scan comes up clean.
Thanks so much!

When you click on a hyperlink in outlook, and when the computer is using 100% cpu. Start task manager to see which program is using all the CPU. You can sort the cpu column by clicking on the column title.

'operation has been canceled due to restrictions on your computer...'
Thanks for responding, lunarlander. When I checked which program was using 100% recources, it was Firefox - & it did this even when I hadn't tried to open it, immediately after I re-started my computer (as if it was set to load upon start). As a result, I uninstalled it using an uninstaller utility & re-installed it. Same problem. I have left it uninstalled for now & the system's cpu is working normally, with the exception of the problem in Outlook (OE). This may or may not be related to this problem (see below) as they both began to happen at the exact same time.

The error 'operation has been canceled due to restrictions on your computer...' continues from my Outlook box whenever I try to open a link from there.
