Arrow Randomly cant display webpages
Randomly I cant display webpages. the browser page come up and it acts like it going to the website, but nothing happens,no error messages just a blank page I talked to my Internet provider and they had me do a bunch of ping commands. I could get replies from DNS servers and have a valid IP address. Also my wireless laptop running off of the same connection works perfectly. They said I was probably looking at virus. I think that is strange, because I have trend micro updating every 3 hours and doing a complete scan every day automatically. I also updated super antispyware and malwarebytes anti malware and ran scans and nothing showed up. The only thing I can think of is I set up a google alert for my name. I got a message form Google and the post had my name in it (it was supposedly a video). When I clicked that link it took to antivirus360 webpage and tried to gt me to install it. I didn't because I instantly recognize it as spyware. Other then than the problem where all of a sudden I cant display web pages, my pc works great. I can send and receive emails. sometimes restarting the router or pc works other times giving it time make it work again. Any ideas?

I have heard of cases where its the router that has gone bad. Maybe you should go buy a router and test it to see. If it doesnt improve the situation, then pack it back up and ask for a refund.

Are there are similarities to the sites that you cannot visit ? Like are they antivirus or security sites? Some viruses disable people from surfing to sites where they can get help removing the virus.

I have tried just connecting my internet directly to my PC instead of to the router and problems continues. When the connection goes down and I can't display web pages, I can't open any website.
