Question McAfee versus AVG
I currently use AVG free, but am considering switching to McAfee, as it is free to me because I am a Comcast subscriber. One thing I like about AVG is how light it is, but I have read things indicating its lack in the security department.

What do you suggest?

I asked a similar question some time ago ...
But I was more worried about McAfee turning my computer into a snail.
Most everyone said it would really slow me down, So I've stayed with AVG.

But .. I depend on my Acroins True Image backups that are stored in an external.
These even fix the problems I have with M$

McAfee does use a lot of resources and takes up more room on your hard drive (larger footprint). This is a disadvantage of security suites. I removed the McAfee security suite from my dad's Vista laptop and put AntiVir in it's place. Much lighter, faster and a smaller footprint than McAfee. On my XP MCE machines, I removed Norton security suite and put NOD32 in it's place. Same results. Lighter, faster and smaller footprint. Stick with AVG, or even better go with AntiVir. Or NOD32 if you want the best.
