INSTALLING APPLICATIONS Do Not touch any buttons during this process. May take up t
Hi,

I've just been reinstalling xp (mc edition) for my dad on his dell laptop. After Windows automatically changes the resolution for me (basically just before it first logs on) I get this flashing red and yellow screen saying "installing applications - do not touch any buttons, this process may take upto 30 minutes".

So I press control alt delete - obviously!

"no touch" and "cscript.exe" are two programs running and I can see what looks like command prompt in the background. It is a dell laptop so it might be bundled software, but I've never seen anything like this before.

Any ideas please?

Absolutely right brett888! We are so curious to get to the bottom of everything!Patience is a virtue and the rewards are great. How much time it took to build the 27KM long Wind tunnel at the franco-swiss border to test the "BIG BANG THEORY"!Now it's undergoing repairs, again a test of patience. The scientists bounced the atom only once and the apparatus broke down!
