phony ALERT securtity problem
I think I have a phony message which appears in the notification area with an icon. It says you have a security problem and has a black shield with and X and when you try to double click on it goes away. If you do get a box to open it keeps saying do you want to do a full scan now from a dialog box with the word ALERT on the box title... the machine uses Trend Micro and nothing from trend is coming up ... I think this is somehow an embedded phony deal, how can I eliminate it... thanks joe

You can try downloading 2 good apps :malewarebytes and superantispyware. They may help you out. If not, post a hjt log and be paitent for someone to get to read it and get back to you.
