Virus or not
Hello to all,
today my colleague phoned and told me that I have a virus/trojan called Downloader. It was in one .exe file which I copied to him from my computer.
I have ESET NOD32 business edition which is up to date and it detects nothing. I have checked and he use Symantec antivirus. I used Kaspersky online scanner and it found nothing. Then I used Symantec online scanner and BitDefender online scan and both antiviruses detected trojan called "Downloader". I have found that this virus is rather old (more than five years) so it is hard for me to understand that NOD32 and Kaspersky didn't detect it.
Is there any way I can check if this is really a virus or not. It was really weird that only one file on my hard drive was infected....

Thanks

Ah, crap...looks like the site is down right now.

Try here instead: http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/index.php?board=1.0

Here are the directions for uploading the file:

Just click "New Topic", fill in the needed details and post a link to your thread here. Click the "Browse" button. Navigate to the file on your computer. When the file is listed in the window click "Post" to upload the file.

Here's the result of scan. They voted 9 to 11 that virus is detected.
I'll deleted the file. Some of high ranked antiviruses like NOD32 and Kaspersky didn't detect it...
Strange...
