Hi and welcome. Look at your startup programs, something may be blocking it from installing. You might also try to install it in safe mode.

panda antivirus
Hi there,
I have the same problem with my new Acer Aspire labtop. I tried to load the application in safe mode but after some time I get the message "Installation cancelled"... a previous uninstallation has been detected. You need to restart the computer and then try again.
I have restarted a few times and get the same message.
Any idea what is the problem here?
Many thanks for your help

Hi and welcome. More info please. Is this the first time you've tried to install this, or were you running a trial version before?

hi and thanks for quick reply. It looks like I got on ok in the end. I was trying to use one of the 3 user downloads license from Panda. After using "safe mode" for 5 times I switched back to normal mode and Panda started to run automatically. I changed the time settings as well, as the new laptop was a few hours behind. Perhaps that was the problem? Anyway I now registered the Panda software 2009 for the new laptop and it is working...
Thanks
