Arrow Free Anti-virus / anti-spyware Program?
Hello,

I have Vista and I need a free anti-virus / anti-spyware removal tool/program. What is the best free one out there? I used to have Norton but it used too much memory and I didn't want to pay for subscriptions and updates.

Thank you for your time,

Joey

ps: is the stuff that comes with Windows (eg: windows defender) sufficient to deal with viruses?

For me, norton internet security has been the lightest on system resources.
If you're looking for a free one, try AVG.

Avast and Avira Antivir are good choices for free antivirus. You can choose anyone. At the time, i have Avast installed, and it has saved me on numerous occassions.

For antispywares... SuperAntispyware, MalwareBytes Antimalware, Spyware Doctor Starter Edition, Spybot-Search and Destroy are good choices, and all should be kept on the system for on-demand scanning.
