You can check the format with Nero Infotool to see if it is the same as the others (I see no reason why it wouldn't be the standard, ISO format).
Make sure the disk is clean. Remember that CD's are read from the inner ring outward, so the inner part needs to be clean and unscratched, too.
CDCheck is not the best recovery tool under the Sun, but it is now free and you can use it to scan the CD and possibly copy the files to a folder on your drive. The best CD data recovery tool I've ever used is Infinadyne's CD Diagnostic. It can see data on CD's that are not recognized by the drive as even containing any data and can scan for files while ignoring the TOC (table of contents--where most software quits).
You could copy the CD to a flash drive on another machine, too.
