if you are using xp you will need a good firewall. i use comodo 3.0 free with avg08.0 free ,they work well together.

i used comodo internet secuity as well, very good. comodo firewall is rated #1 by pc magazine. it's free too. i also use avast home, threat fire and CCleaner. i suggest you dont buy paid stuff. in my experiance i get viruses with them , they slow down my pc and when i use just free stuff i dont have anything wrong.

nod32 is eset. if you don't like it try sunbelt vipre. they are good too. i suggest going free, you will waste money that you don't need to.

If you are using an older version of Norton - I would suggest having a look at NAV2009 or NIS 2009.
They have been totally revamped and have a very small footprint now.
A big improvement.
If your subscription is still valid, you can upgrade to 2009 for free using your present Key.
Then decide whether to renew.
I use NAV2009 and Comodo for a firewall.

Hi irrawaddy,

Why are you not happy with NAV? for how long have you been using it?

yes comodo, i think along side avast is the best. comodo is probably the best I think. they are suprisingly free and are winning many awards. comodo firewall is currently the #2 firewall.
